yeah well I've never really done a blog before but I guess I'll give it a try. Sorry if its uberly boring, my life isn't really that interesting. and you can comment if you want.

SO today was my birthday, but I didnt do anything special cause I celebrated over the weekend so it was pretty much like any other day. Tho I did get a lot of posts on my wall on facebook =)
Ah I woke up about 9:30 adn then got ready and had breakfast. I never have to get up early cause I dont have class until noon which is really good for me cause I'm not a morning person.

Then I was on my computer until 11:30 when I went down to the caf to get some lunch. Then I headed off to my monsters class and yes, it's called "monsters." It's a class about horror movies and so we watch them and then analyze them and stuff, which is cool but it's time consuming because we have to watch all of the movies outside class which sucks. Anyways, today we talked about The Wolfman for an hour.

Then I have my next class right after that, Morality and moral controversies. That class is really boring but easy. After that I had to work from 2-4. I work at the campus library, which is a really is easy job and I get paid like 6 something an hour, tho I can only work 8 hours a week. and then I went back to my room, did some homework, went and ate supper with my friends.

Then at 7 I watched Prison break. I <3 that show!!gah and they left another cliff hanger!!later I went and worked out in the weight room and now I'm here writing this and I have to go to work at the library again in about 30 min. I HATE the 11-1am shift. all I want to do is go to bed but I have to work and tehn take my shower so I wont get to bed until 2 probably.

Entry #2 Feb 20th

It was really nice out today. I couldnt believe how warm it was. seriously I've had my window open all day and I didnt need my coat at all. it's very strange for Feb in Iowa.

erm, nothing too exciting happened today. went to my classes-media and mass communications and intro to sociology. blech I really hate them both. My professor for my media class forces us to speak up during class. I know that I dont seem like it on here, but I'm actually very shy and I hate speaking up in class but she forces me to and puts me on the spot.

Then my soc class is utterly boring. did I mention that both of these classes are two hours? my professor droned on for that amount of time about ah....I think it was poverty and stuff. I considered skipping but I wanted to see wat I got on my test. I really think I might have failed, but I dont know yet because he isnt done grading them.

I think I might watch a movie yet tonite. I rented dodgeball since I've only seen part of it I decided that I should watch the whole thing so I think I'll do that

Ok so this actually happened a few weeks ago. The pipes in the building that I live in burst and some peoples room's were like flooded by 3-4 inches of water. Luckily I wasnt effected, but other people were and it damaged alot of their stuff. Alot of peoples computers, stereos, TVs, their carpet and other stuff was ruined. One girl had like 3000$ worth of damage done. And my college wont pay for it. They wont pay us any of the damage that was done. They say it's the student's fault and their responsibility. They say it wouldnt be pratical for them to pay for all of the damages But seriously! how is it the student's fault that a pipe broke and ruined all of their stuff! It's the college's freakin building and freakin pipes! If we do any damage to the building we're fined money but if they damage our stuff oh no they're not responsible. GRR I think that they should pay for at least half of the damage. that's reasonable. but no nothing. If I had lost my computer and stuff I probably would have cried because there's no way I would get another one. and that would be a 1000$ down the drain. so yeah Im done ranting now....but do you guys think this is fair?

W00T! I got a C on my Sociology test! (which is very good by the way)

entry #3: that is a load of CRAP. What--the students jackhammered the pipe and broke it? No. It's the colleges' responsibility to care for the building. If a pipe bursts, they have to deal with it.
Did the students have to pay to fix the pipe? No.
That says the pipe is not their responsibility at all. They should be reimbursed.

Entry #5 Sunday, Feb 25th

OK. so on Friday I went home to see my family and have my mom do my laundry. That night it snowed and mostly had freezing rain. The next morning my dad had to put chains on the tires to in order to get me back to college. It really rained hard for a few hours and then the storm hit about 6:00.

I was on here and like just after I posted that topic about the storm, my power went out. I went over to my friend's room and hung out there for the rest of the night. We had flashlights and we played some games....it's weird when you dont have power its like no one knows wat to do. We went to bed early and I spent the night her room, cause the window in my room is stupid and leaks so water and cold air were pouring in Im going to have to get that fixed. I think the power came on about 1am, I dunno tho cause I was alseep, but we had when I woke up.

I went back to my room and called my family and found out that they're alot worse off than I am. They still dont have power and may not get it back for an entire week. Over 100.000 people in this area are currently without electricty because the storm knocked down over 1000 electric poles. I think that the only reason I have power here is because we're right next to a hospital. But yeah, all the schools are closed tomorrow and even Walmart's closed. The governor of Iowa has called it a disaster area, so yeah it' s pretty serious.

and more snow is coming on Wed :(

that's not good...

So Ive been feeling sick all weekend and yesterday. so today I went to the doctor and it turns out I have bronchitas (sp?)so yeah I feel like Shiz I should be resting but I have to go to my classes and work. unfortunaltly they dont care if your sick

So I still feel like crap. My medicine doesnt appear to be helping. and neither does the freakin cold air and water that pours in my window as it storms. crappy college. I called them 2 days ago to come and fix it, but no ones come I think I got a grand total of 3 hours of sleep last night.

And now another blizzard is coming. I want to go home today, but nooo I have to wait until tomorrow because I have a stupid test tomorrow thats worth half of my grade. Oh and my spring break starts this weekend, which is why I want to go home early. The thing is that if it storms really badly tonight, then i could be stuck here for several days :( but I cant go home because of that stupid test!! GAH!

but yeah, um about my spring break, I'll be at home for about a week. I'll still be able to come on here, but not as often. my mom doesnt like me to use the computer 24/7

it's my first day of spring break. I woke up late, about noon. It felt really good to sleep in. Then my cousins came over and we played halo2 and DDR all day. it was pretty fun =)

Our spring break is in April too.

sooo sorry I havent been on much guys. I've just been extremely busy lately. I only have 1 month of classes left so I'm doin all that end of the year stuff right now. getting ready for finals, finding a job for the summer, and getting my classes and living arrangements for next year sorted out. It's been pretty crazy lately. Once April's over it should slow down again and I'll have more time. but yeah anyways have a good easter guys, I'm going to my grandparents house for the day =). It's going to be fun so see ya guys and I MISSES YOU M_K!!

soo....it's been a wile since I've done this so yeah. All week I've been freaking out cause I had to do a huge presentation for one of my classes. I actually did pretty well and I'm REALLY relieved that it's over with. I hate talking in front of people....I just get really nervous and act stupid, but I did ok this time.

only 3 weeks left of classes!! WOOT! I cannot wait until summer vacation starts. I am soooo tired of classes and homework all the time. Of course, I'll have to get a job this summer, which won't be fun I think it'll be better than constant homework. I'm thinking about working at either Menards or Target. I already applied at Menards, but they havent called me back so I guess I'll look into Target.

well, I guess thats all for now. In about an hour I'm going to see a band thats playing on campus. they're supposed to be pretty good so it should be fun =)

BOO....the concert was cancelled last thurs.

but thats ok. ONLY TWO WEEKS LEFT OF CLASSES WOOTNESS. gah Im soooo excited about summer break coming up. its going to be sooo sveet.

SO I have now picked out my room for next year. Its on the fourth floor, which isnt too bad. better than 5th anyway. Im going to be rooming w/my cousin, which should be cool. We just bought a barely used futon from someone and going to put in our room next semester. yay!

they all sound ok to me and shouldnt be too boring. Ive heard that Hist of engl lit isnt very fun, but I have to take it. Most people abbreviate it as HELL, but yeah.
AND now I only have like one week of classes left, which is AWESOME. however, I havent gotten a job yet I applied at Menards and target, but neither have called me back yet.....

WOOTNESS. CLASSES ARE DONE!!!! now I just have finals.....blech. but yeah Im almost done w/my first year of college! Now I just need to find a job...

Only 1 day left now. after I attempt to pass my finals tomorrow I CAN GO HOME!!!! I am sooo ready for summer. and being here right now is just making me pissed. GAH it so freakin hot outside. Its been about 80 degrees out and my stupid college doesnt have any airconditioning on so my room is also 80 degrees. and IM dying!!! oh and I sold my books back to the bookstore today, which originally cost me $200. guess how much I got back. $24. yep....OH and I have finals tomorrow and Im totally not prepared so I will probably do really badly...

well, good lucketh. Yeah, the $24 sucks, but, whatcha gonna do?

YAY! I finally have a job now. I'm a cashier at a local gift shop/fudge store. It's a pretty good job. Not too hard and I get minimum wage. And I only work a few days a week so I have free days during the summer as well.

Wow...I havent done anything with this fer a while...so yeah I'm back at college now for my 2nd year. Um I'm taking four classes right now...history of english lit, belief and unbelief (religion class), film festival (really easy, just watch a film once a week and send him an email about it), and fiction workshop 1. They're not too hard, but ya know they keep me busy. then I have work at the library a few days a week...erm yeah that's about it. Oh I have to work this weekend at the fudge factory where I worked all summer.


I think I should mention some of the highlights of working there all summer haha.

1. Well I got lots of free fudge And it's homemade...so its pretty amazing. I'm seriously surprised though that I didnt gain any weight

2. I had my first cream soda. Now I'm addicted. We sell them and I must have bought like 20 or so.

3. One day a little girl threw up in the back...and I had to clean it up...lovely

4. Another day an older woman missed the toilet completely and got it all over the floor, wall, sink etc. THANK GOD I didnt have to clean that up. My manager did that one

5. Oh yes, and then there was the day my truck died in the middle of the street...cars honking and I couldnt do anything >.<

6. And then there's always stupid people who don't know what tax is...
They're like...I thought it cost 10.95...I'm like 10.95 PLUS tax

7. We have these antiques in the back, some up on shelves. There was this one rusted old bicycle that a lady wanted to look at SO I went and got the ladder, climbed up there, lifted it down ( it was very heavy) and then she's like naw I dont want it. SO I climbed back up, put it back and put the ladder away. About half an hour later she comes back and says she wants it....=/ I smiled and said that I would go get it.

8. I also worked at a leather shop down the street, the owner of the fudge shop owns both places. I loooved working down there cause I hardly had to do anything XD No one would ever come in most of the time so I just brought a book/magazine etc and sat in his computer chair all day. Hah got kind of boring though sometimes...being alone for hours and hours at a time =/
