global expaditions mission trip 07-08 Tijuana

God put it on every ones heart that went to go down to Mexico during the holidays so that each person could touch someone’s heart and plant that seed that would start there destiny in Gods perfect plan. God also sent each person down there so that he could minister to them personally.

The biggest part of my personal ministry down in Tijuana was when my ministry group was able to pray over a house hold that was enslaved by the devils strong holds on their life. The first day of our VBS ministry we went up to the local school so that every one in the neighborhood would know where to go. Across the street were some houses that had some music playing. At first the music was good but when one song came on the vocalist started t sing “Come and fight with the minions of darkness.” Right when that happened we began to pray about what to do next. So we just started praying over the house hold and eventually the music turned off. When we came back the next day though the music was back on some of it was even worse then before. On the third day of ministry before the VBS my group went on a prayer walk down the street and the same house was playing some good music but when we got to the house the music immediately changed to the bad music. We decided to sit in front of the house and we began to pray. When we prayed out loud the music would turn off but when we prayed to ourselves it would turn back on. This went on for about a half an hour and the music finally turned off, there was no music the rest of the week. One of our first memory verses that week was “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to the Lord” (Philippians 4:6). That’s what we would do to we would pray before we did anything, before we got on the bus, before we set the house up, before we would start VBS, and before we did personal evangelism.

While we where building the house for the family it just hit me that we were actually building these people a home and we could say that we ministered to these people in a way that nobody else would or could. Once I realized that, it was the easiest thing in the world for me not to complain about anything that I had to do. My group only got to work in the building project the first day, the rest of the time we where either painting over graffiti or doing personal evangelism, but it took only that day for us to be able to minister to Senior Juan and his family the way we needed to. Once we set in place the last of the four walls the family and the other groups waiting for lunch clapped and the family began to tear up while they prayed for us. On the last day when we dedicated the house to the family the whole family was there as we gave them the keys to the house. It was just so amazing how we could touch an entire community in only having four days of ministry.

and with that i say adue i will bo off the computer for the most part of a month so i can get closer to God and start my ministry at home you can comment on here and i will be back in a month.
