Sing O Sing

Today was the choir district contest for our choir. We basically missed school for this. (For the one person who knows the schedule we got back around 12:40. So we missed the first ten minutes of sixth block.) I had fun, but we took one bus that was supposed to hold 60 people. Yeah, right. I got stuck sitting in the floor for five minutes before we stopped to eat lunch. Not comfortable when you are in a dress and four inch heels, needless to say.

Other than that, it was all good.

By the way, I'll probably add a random poem as an entry from time to time. Hope you like. Yes, you can comment if you really feel the need. ^^

Writing Used to Be Fun

Today was the 10th grade Alabama Writing Assessment....Thingy. I used to love writing. (Don't get me wrong, I still do.) But when you have to write, it's just bothersome. I got an expository essay-yuck. I always wish for a narrative, because I can go somewhere with those, but expository....not so much. *Sigh* Oh, well.

I know. I used to love to write in HS but now that I have to write 3-4 papers per week, It's starting to get old

*Dreads college* I'll get over it, but I don't think I will ever be the same....

Standardized Testing

OK, so it's been a while since my last entry but nothing interesting has really happened since then. So, on with the story...

This week we had Grad Exams. Always fun, right? Well I just hope I never have to bubble in my name and other information on myself in a long time. Anyway, I took the Language part on Monday, the Social Studies part on Tuesday, and the Reading part today(Friday). I got to sleep late on Wednesday and Thursday because I has already passed the Math and Science parts of the test. That's a good thing. Plus I ahve a 4 day weekend starting right now.

Maybe a boring read for you, but you didn't have to read it. ^^

Yeah. I, along with most everyone else, have bubbled in my name and info on the "Answer Document" since 3rd grade! It gets extremely old after a while.

Why?

OK. This might take a while, but I need to write this down somewhere....

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week there was a convention that a lot of people at my school went to. It was an overnight thing. Before you ask, no I did not go although I could have. Well, things were fine until yesterday, Friday when people heard some stories about things that went on. The stories turned out to be true....

There were three guys involved-they were roomies at the convention. This guy named Jesse brought a liter of vodka. He drank nearly all of it by himself. Another guy named Zack only drank a little and that was it. The last guy, Taylor, a good friend of mine, took one drink because he did not know what it was, but immediately spit it out. Well because Jesse drank almost all of it, he passed out in the floor-imagine.

Now they all have alternative school until the end of the year. Jesse has 4 weeks into next school year, Zack has 2 or 3 into next school year, and Taylor is done the end of the year.

It makes me mad, though because Taylor wasn't actually involved. He was guilty by association. He doesn't deserve this because he would never do anything like that. School just won't be the same without him.

But I guess I'll see him next year........

That really sucks. I'm not standing up for those dumb rules, but he should have left after he realized what was going on. He probably just wanted to help, but... he should have left.

I know. That's what I think.

No, Jesse brought more than a liter. And, You forgot to say that Taylor and Zach had to hold him up to pee. And, Jesse walked into Kirsten's room while she and her two roomies were changing. And, they really ticked off Ashley somebody.

I didn't know all those details. I knew he walked in Kirsten's room, but I didn't know that. Oh, well. What's done is done.....*Sigh*

*Sighs louder*

Hmmmm...

You know...I just realized that it's been forever since I put something on here. So I thought I might post something up here again. It's short for now, but I might put some more up later.

Sorry, but I am attempting to figure this new thing out.
