Um...yeah. I posted this blog to keep track of my running accomplishments and goals. So far, I plugged in my best 5k time into the MacMillian Running Calculator, and it tells me some feasable goals to reach for other distances.

Here are my running calculator results.

And here's a list of my PRs-

100m- 14.24s

400m- 1m, 23s

800m- 3m, 18s

1 mile- 6m, 52s

3k- 12m, 38s

5k- 22m, 43s

10k- 58m, 47s

1/2 Marathon- 2h, 8m.

As you can see, I haven't recorded too many distances yet- it's been kinda 1d sofar. I'll post my recent accomplishments.

Okay, Track practice was today. We did 400m sprints for 40min, attempting to reach state qualification standards. This format didn't really work for me- I got a 1:23 my first time and got consecutively worse times after that. Breaks notwithstanding, I was able to sprint 11 of them at a reasonable pace. Unfortunately, a 1:23 is 18 seconds short of state qualification standards, so unless I can shave off 18 seconds from my PR (!!!!!!!), I won't be competing in the 400m.

Meh, I've never been much of a sprinter anyway. I think I'd like to do the mile, but the state standards are a heckuvalot higher- I'd have to do the 1 mile in 4:53! This is much too daunting of a task, so I'll probably do the 2 mile- however, that's just no fun when you're running 8 track laps.

All in all, I miss cross-country season.

Un-farking-believable. There was going to be a track contest, but the other team coach cancelled.

Why? APPARENTLY, HE THOUGHT IT WAS TOO DAMN COLD!! [smiley=rant.gif] [smilie=rlp_smilie_130.gif]

I'm still trying to get my mind around the concept. I mean, come on, it was only 40 degrees! Is he from, what, Ecuador or something!?

It's too bad, I was gonna particapte in 3 events: the 1k, the 800m X 4 relay, and the 2M. Oh well...

Really, someone needs to reply or I'll quit updating.

Anyway, so we finally got to do some trail running today- 44 minutes for the long-distance runners. Of couse, in track, long distance is anything above a 1k.

Yeah, so this running buddy of mine, Luke, mentions a running graph that can graph how much you've run recently and calculate that to miles per day. I might wanna check it out.

There's a track contest on Thursday, so I'll make sure to eat a big breakfast. Wish me luck!

I just got back from the track contest. I have no idea how the team did, but I got mile PR!

Funny story there. A girl friend (but not girlfriend) of mine got a 6:47 on the mile run, which beat my old mile PR by a good 5 seconds. I made it my goal to beat her PR, and got a 6:19, thus beating my optimate time!

I was seriously amazed at my performance. I mean, I had just shaved off over 30 seconds in one go! That's seriously not easy. I wish I could say the same for my 2 mile run- only got 14:01. Given my 3k PR (12:38, which is way below my optimate time), I figured I could break 14. Oh, well.

Next contest isn't for a while, so I have plenty of time to train. :D
